Tai Chian

Tai Chian first attended Evangel Family Church in 1980 during his junior college days. He was very in touch and involved with the activities of his local church, which had almost become his “second home”. Tai Chian graduated from Nanyang Technological University in 1989 with a degree in Mechanical & Production Engineering. In the same year, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, he joined the pastoral staff of Evangel and became an ordained minister in 2001. Tai Chian is a man of great talents and his faith has impacted not only the lives of his closely knitted Hainanese loved ones and relatives but those he oversees in his community. He was a Community Pastor for 21 years before becoming an Associate Pastor of Evangel on 16 May 2010. His other responsibilities include managing the building’s operations and maintenance. He likes to eat, sleep, fellowship, minister to people and enjoys family gatherings. He particularly likes to interact with his members and input into their lives. Tai Chian is married to Mun Ying who is a fellow colleague and pastor and they have two beautiful children, Olivia (16 years old) and Elijah (11 years old). Both Olivia and Elijah are serving in the Music Ministry.
