Dale Lim

Dale Lim studied at The University of Western Australia and earned a degree in Computer Science and Information Technology. He also holds an MA from Fuller Theological Seminary. After his undergraduate studies, Dale was employed in a systems integration firm. Although he enjoyed his work, doing what he liked and having the peace of God were entirely different matters. The latter had to do with Dale’s shelving aside the call of God. Shortly, the Holy Spirit convinced him that serving the King of kings and the Lord of lords is the greatest privilege. With that conviction, Dale tendered his resignation and joined Evangel as its Youth Pastor and Systems Administrator in 1995. He was ordained in 1998 and became an Associate Pastor in 2001. In his journey with Evangel, Dale has contributed to the placement of an IT and AV infrastructure, the rebuilding of a thriving youth congregation, the mentoring of a new generation of leaders and the completion of Evangel’s church building with a team of advisors in 2002. Dale has been married for twenty years to Chui Chui, a fellow colleague and pastor, and they have two super energetic kids, Joseph and Jada. He loves to spend time with Chui and the kids and always welcomes a good game of soccer. He also blogs on life, church and soccer. He is presently the Senior Pastor and he endeavors to create a culture of missional relationality in Evangel’s perspective of and practice towards the community and its world. Ultimately, Dale journeys to fulfil God’s destiny for his life and finds great satisfaction in leading others to fulfil theirs.
