Jerry Choo

Jerry Choo began his relationship with God during his secondary school days through the Inter-School Christian Fellowship (ISCF). He started attending a Methodist Church. However, his rebellious and willful side got the better of him and he lost interest in going to church. After obtaining his A-levels and completing his National Service, Jerry worked in a typesetting firm for about 10 years. In October 1987, through the invitation of Mong Yee, his girlfriend then, Jerry renewed his relationship with God. He went on to pursue his career, trying out various jobs before finally setting up his own watch shop under the umbrella of 25 HOURS, a watch retail chain. Subsequently, he became the retail manager overseeing their chain of retail outlets. In January 2004, Jerry joined Evangel as a full-time staff and is currently the Logistics Director. He also partners Mong Yee, also a fellow colleague and pastor, in overseeing members from the northern part of Singapore. He loves to watch a good movie, preferably not too mainstream, go for a good workout or jog without having to rush through it, and read well-written comics. Jerry is married to Mong Yee for 23 years and they have a 19-year-old son, Choo Shuin who is studying Intelligent Building Technology in Temasek Polytechnic and is actively serving in the Children's Ministry. Jerry’s passion is to connect with the community and revolutionalise their world.
