Quee Beng

“Join the Navy and see the world”, this was the advertisement that caught Quee Beng’s attention. Having just completed his secondary school education, he decided to sign up for the navy. Although he did not get to see the whole world, he did visit various countries in South East Asia. Through the constant invitation from a fellow navy mate, Quee Beng attended a youth service during the early years of Evangel Family Church at 39 Sommerville Road. As he progressed in his journey with God, he felt a deep sense of longing to serve in the local church on a full-time basis. However, after completing his contract of eight years with the Navy, his patience was further stretched because the opportunity to fulfill God's calling came only many years later. Presently, Quee Beng is a Community Pastor to members staying in the eastern part of Singapore. Quee Beng became an ordained minister in 2006. His other major role as a Media Coordinator covers providing operational support to the Visual Information Department of Evangel (VIDE). Quee Beng loves fishing, driving in the fast lane and keeps fit by swimming. He is married to Beng Sing, an account assistant with a Finnish company. They have two wonderful sons, Jerome (17 years old) and Jonathan (14 years old). Jerome is in ITE and Jonathan is in Secondary School. Jerome is also serving in the VIDE Ministry. Quee Beng’s passion is to connect broken lives fragmented by the harsh realities of life to the redeeming grace of God.
