Rita Lawandi

Rita attended The University of Western Australia, earning a degree, majoring in Accounting & Finance and a minor in Business Law. After graduation, God miraculously opened a job opportunity for her in the auditing career. Since then, she spent 7 years doing auditing work. Rita is also a Certified Practising Accountant with CPA Australia. After years of struggling to fulfil her “promise” to God about serving Him full-time in a local church, Rita joined Evangel’s staff on 1 November 2006. Rita is an Indonesian by birth but has been residing in Singapore since she was 2 years old. It was her desire to be a Singaporean after returning from tertiary studies overseas. God was faithful and her desire was fulfilled within weeks before joining Evangel. Rita just got married in January 2010 to Xing Yi, an IT support engineer in a local IT firm. She appreciates spending time purposefully, whether it is with her family, meeting up with some of her closest friends or even hibernating at home; and she also takes pleasure in being a crouch potato at home watching a good comedy, an inspirational movie, a documentary or even a good cartoon just to “wind down” (plus all the chocolates and tidbits). Rita is currently an accountant and is overseeing the youths in the western part of Singapore. She wants to make a difference in the lives of others through loving and reaching out to them.
